Bush's Chicken

I order the gizzards and liver and ask for fresh and told him I didn't mind waiting. When I got home 10 minutes later prepared to it found them old and like warm. Not the first time this has happen at this location. I work hard for my pay and expect good for and services but I'm really tired of spending money on food that's below standard. The cost was $5.40 cent I gave him $6.00 to keep the change, didn't get a receipt. This person been working there for a while. A middle age man. I called the store/ restaurant and got no answer.

I just wanted to drop an appreciation note for the manager, Katie. Katie is personable and goes above and beyond to serve her customers. Every time I walk into the establishment Katie greets me with a hello and knows my order verbatim which is impressive because she sees so many guests. I have also, observed Katie being a team player while waiting for my order. If the establishment is busy she gladly inserts herself wherever needed. She does it all, and I am thoroughly impressed because as a manager, it is possible to have a “seniority complex,” and not help when needed because it is not their job. Katie does not have that complex and is a true leader. She is amazing and I wanted her to be recognized because every time, I eat at this location, which is often, she has the same smile, positive attitude, and helpfulness. Working in the food service industry can take a toll on you dealing with customers and/or staff but, she handles it effortlessly. I can see her moving up with the company because her light shines bright and her positive attitude will allow her to succeed.

This place was great as recently as last year. Now I avoid it at all costs. Customer service is almost non-existent. Elderly drive drive-thru lady has trouble taking a simple order. She walks up to your car and just stands there and stares at you. No greeting, no 'are you ready to order'. Nothing. We placed our order of 2 meals and when she recited it back it was completely wrong and the total was $12 more than it should have been. I stopped her before she swiped my card and told her to cancel it. We just left. Go elsewhere.

I go to this location often but the last couple times, I've noticed a difference in the quality of the food and the wait is longer. Today I ordered a tender roll meal with fries. I got home with my food, opened the box and was immediately upset. Both tenders were incredibly small compared to the roll. The fries were cold and the bag was half filled. Definitely did not get what I paid for

Good but pricey. That was a while ago went there tonight 2/18 and couldn't believe this, for a 10 pc mixed 41.00 I'm sorry but I refuse to pay that anyone that cooks knows how much a whole chicken is in HEB. Bush's your chicken is good but not that good and I know things have gone up but that's price gouging. I will never eat there again.

Very disappointed, we liked going there but after Sunday Oct.1st this will be the last time we ever will go there. Of course everyone was unhappy at the counter/ drive thru and you could see that no management was around, but the worse part was the food handling, no gloves & no tongs. My elderly mother felt ill later that evening, my wife was ill in the middle of the night, and I was sick early in morning. My nabor who we gave the leftovers to that same day also was ill the following day. This is unacceptable and we will never return and please be cautious when eating at this location.
